Thermal spring & baths
Breathtaking demonstrations of the island's volcanic origins can be admired all
over the island as geysers spout steam from underground. Visitors can still experience
the beneficial properties of these natural phenomena by visiting the Bagni Asciutti
or Stufe, these are grottoes that create real natural saunas, or Lake Venere,
an ancient crater which has a circumference of 1,800 metres, sandy shores and
therapeutic fangos. Don't forget to visit the natural swimming pools in Scauri
and Nicà where the water temperature varies from 30 to 50 degrees. |
